Violence won't end violence . . .WHAT IF?

Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took Him. And suddenly, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?” (Matthew 26: 50-54)

Violence will never end violence. Neither will ignoring wrongdoing. So how do we react to injustice, ignorance, and outright sin? Take a look at how Jesus reacted . . .

Doing God's will and allowing Him to have His way will always be the best solution. We have a s(k)in problem throughout the world today. not just in the U.S. Injustice, racism, inequality, call it by any name it is SIN. The root of sin is Satan. Let's deal with this issue and see the result.

What if . . . .

What if the Gospel . . . the TRUE Gospel was shared and shown throughout our churches, homes and communities? What if . . .just imagine . . . if everyone saw each other as one made in God's own image? What if . . . again just imagine . . . if we all saw each other as a sinner in need of the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ and lived out our ministry of reconciliation? What if . . .again imagine this . . .What if we all were seen as brothers and sisters in Christ and blood related? What if we dealt with our s(k)in problem the way Jesus did and stop simply reacting?

For the love of Christ urges us on, because we are convinced that one has died for all; therefore all have died. And he died for all, so that those who live might live no longer for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them. From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once knew Christ from a human point of view, we know him no longer in that way.  So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!  All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to usSo we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us; we entreat you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.(2 Corinthians 5:14-20)

Will we vote His policies or a parties choice?

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.(Psalm 33:12

What great joy for the nation that follows God. Not a nation that mentions His name now and then, but on that follows His precepts and commands. Imagine that national joy!

With so much division, so much hatred, and so much polarization, it can be hard to picture a nation truly blessed by the Lord’s joy. But imagine what that would look like. . . . .

We have an election ongoing in the U.S. The decisions made in this election season will have an impact for generations. We have the opportunity to make a lasting difference and help point our nation to the Lord. Each one of us is responsible for helping to cultivate a nation whose God is the Lord. When we do that, He will bring His joy and blessing to our country.

Yet will we who call upon the name of Lord as our Master and Savior, will we vote His policies or a parties choice? Will we vote for the Kingdom or the culture? We have a choice, maybe not politically correct or socially popular, bit a choice nevertheless.

Dear God, please give us perseverance to courageously pursue and value what You value. Turn us personally back to You. Please turn our nation back to You.

The appearance of godliness . . . .

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty.  For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,  heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good,  treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,  having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.  For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions,  always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.  Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith.  But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men. (2 Timothy 3:1-9)

These days, we believers need to be sure we know the Word! We must know right from wrong and biblical from unbiblical! Refuse to waiver from the Truth! It will cost us friends, family, and perhaps jobs and reputation among people. However, being loyal to Christ far outweighs popularity and political correctness!

It is amazing how the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and the troubled times in our society coincide. Like those in the 1500's, we need to take a stand for God's inerrant Word. As the evangelists of the Great Awakening, we need to fan the flame of the Spirit of God within us!

We must not allow a mere appearance of godliness sneak in and sway us. We must stand on Truth and live by Truth. While we cannot change the world, or even our Nation by ourselves, we  can be sure the flame within us burns hot and bright. 🔥🔥

Who knows how it may catch on and spread?

Ahhh.....the election looms!

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. (Matthew 6:33-34)

Ahhh.....the election looms! Many have already voted. Ads are running amuck! Who do we believe? Who do we trust? Who has our best interest as a Christ follower? Looking forward to election day? I am!

I saw these suggestions on line this morning from a post years ago. After reading it, I am still praying for God to guide my heart and hand next week as I ponder the election!

  1. Vote for the man or woman who will seek to further God’s will on earth – In Matthew 6:10, Jesus directed His followers to pray for God’s will to be “done on earth as it is in heaven.” No one who follows Jesus should knowingly vote for anyone who stands for values, actions, or goals that directly oppose God’s will. In fact, we should cast our vote for someone who has clearly stated goals and activities that align with God’s will.
  2. Vote for the man or woman who will work to secure religious freedom in our country – In 1 Timothy 2:1-2, Paul told Timothy to pray for those in authority in order that Christians “may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” Christians must vote for leaders who will purposefully provide a government framework that allows Christians to openly live out the tenets of our faith.
  3. Vote for the man or woman who displays godly character and values – It’s easy to talk a “godly game.” People can say anything they think the voter wants to hear. The proof is in their behavior. The candidate doesn’t even have to be a Christ-follower to have “godly” character. And on the flip side, the candidate can claim to be a Christian but not display godly character.(https://www.kathyhoward.org/3-biblical-principles-to-guide-your-vote/)
Even more confused? So what are we genuine Christ followers to do?  Pray . . . Seek facts . . . Seek God first . . . DON'T WORRY! Trust Him and Him alone to work it all out to His glory! God is in control of it all still . . . .

Godly sorrow leads to repentance and salvation!

Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing.  For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter. (2 Corinthians 7:9-11)

Repentance involves recognizing that you have thought wrongly in the past and determining to think rightly in the future. The repentant person has “second thoughts” about the mindset he formerly embraced. There is a change of disposition and a new way of thinking about God, about sin, about holiness, and about doing God’s will. True repentance is prompted by “godly sorrow,” and it “leads to salvation”.

Many today are embracing sin as acceptable to God! God hates sin! Jesus suffered and died for our sin! While we embrace sinners and share the love of Christ with them, it is to have them to embrace the cross of Jesus and repent of sin!

We cannot continue sinning without the Godly sorrow. There must be guilt! There must be shame! There must be repentance....turning away....a change of thinking!

We cannot dummy-down the Truth no matter what the politically correct opinion is today!!!

Bad character or bad policy? Both corrupt!

Even more, I consider everything to be nothing compared to knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. To know him is worth much more than anything else. Because of him I have lost everything. But I consider all of it to be garbage so I can know Christ better. (Philippians 3:8)

I ran across this message from Pastor and theologian John Piper:

https://www.desiringgod.org/articles/policies-persons-and-paths-to-ruin?utm_campaign=Daily+Email&utm_medium=email&_hsmi=97517302&_hsenc=p2ANqtz-83NoTy8hcW0k4H6F3ZVy1VGavbYFLujhLnscxTbVGelVlCGICraVvcJVLXEg_f6vZXPWdw_p_OVjPt3Q8ZqawK6Agmtw&utm_content=97517302&utm_source=hs_email .

What a great piece of advice concerning our current culture. Listen to his quote:

May I suggest to pastors that in the quietness of your study you do this? Imagine that America collapses. First anarchy, then tyranny — from the right or the left. Imagine that religious freedom is gone. What remains for Christians is fines, prison, exile, and martyrdom. Then ask yourself this: Has my preaching been developing real, radical Christians?

Bad character or bad policy? Both corrupt! Both murder! Both can bring down nations! I too am at odds with arrogance and abortion (Psalm 139, Romans 1). Yet both can be forgiven! (Ephesians 1:7) I too am "an exile of a Kingdom that cannot be shaken"! I will vote to honor my King!

Its time to wake-up!

Its time to wake-up! Stop ignoring the actual Word of God! Read!!!!!!!

Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.
I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways.  I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.

Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan’s so-called deep secrets, ‘I will not impose any other burden on you,  except to hold on to what you have until I come.’

To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations—that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’-- just as I have received authority from my Father.  I will also give that one the morning star. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (Revelation 2:18-29)

You have seen and read the news....now make the decision to follow Truth!

So appropriate for today

In a large house there are things made out of gold and silver. But there are also things made out of wood and clay. Some have special purposes. Others have common purposes.  Suppose someone stays away from what is common. Then the Master will be able to use them for special purposes. They will be made holy. They will be ready to do any good work. Run away from the evil things that young people long for. Try hard to do what is right. Have faith, love and peace. Do these things together with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. Don’t have anything to do with arguing. It is dumb and foolish. You know it only leads to fights.  Anyone who serves the Lord must not be hard to get along with. Instead, they must be kind to everyone. They must be able to teach. The one who serves must not hold anything against anyone. They must gently teach those who are against them. Maybe God will give a change of heart to those who are against you. That will lead them to know the truth.  Maybe they will come to their senses. Maybe they will escape the devil’s trap. He has taken them as prisoners to do what he wanted. (2 Timothy 2:20-26)

Wow! These words are so appropriate for today's society! I don't really have to say much.

We all, young and old, can heed this advice as believers. Do not get involved in the bitter back and forths of this society. Stay separated! We cannot blend in and our witness be lost. Christ followers need to be distinctively different to be seen, heard and effective.

As we present a different option......CHRIST....maybe some will come to their senses as Paul wrote!

Let the message about Christ live among you.

You are God’s chosen people. You are holy and dearly loved. So put on tender mercy and kindness as if they were your clothes. Don’t be proud. Be gentle and patient. Put up with one another. Forgive one another if you are holding something against someone. Forgive, just as the Lord forgave you. And over all these good things put on love. Love holds them all together perfectly as if they were one. Let the peace that Christ gives rule in your hearts. As parts of one body, you were appointed to live in peace. And be thankful. Let the message about Christ live among you like a rich treasure. Teach and correct one another wisely. Teach one another by singing psalms and hymns and songs from the Spirit. Sing to God with thanks in your hearts. Do everything you say or do in the name of the Lord Jesus. Always give thanks to God the Father through Christ.... (Colossians 3:12-17)

How do we live as CHRISTians in such a crazy mixed-up world? Listen to Paul:

Let the message about Christ live among you!

We have no choice but to put on Christ if the world is to see and experience Christ! People are not going to experience Him in politics, in public schools, in media or in the public square. He must be represented by you and me.

We cannot get so comfortable and concerned with belonging that we find ourselves apart from God. We must remember Whose we are and Who we represent! Everything we do must be to His glory. He must live among us as we go from place to place. . .His peace, His grace, His mercy, His calm, His forgiveness...His will!

If we want a better world than we the Body have to do better. The world must see Christ in us. We must stop trying fit in so much!

No winners!

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21)

Paul isn't writing about our nation today, but he might as well be! We live in times of uncertainty and unrest for sure. With the coming election, there will be no winners in my opinion. Why do I  say that? Well, in my humble yet educated opinion, my belief is that neither side stands solidly upon biblical values!

A vote for one will bring a strengthening of popular and politically correct opinions and beliefs. Voting for the other will bring further racial divide and civil unrest. So what is the answer for the CHRISTian? Pray and vote the biblical worldview . . . Kingdom principles!

While a believer cannot (and should not) endorse political parties or candidates, we can always endorse God's perspective and guidelines. Stay informed and stay active. The coming days will be a time like no other for we CHRISTians to be active, involved, engaged, vocal, and enthusiastically visible!

Let's Be One!

Brothers and sisters, I make my appeal to you. I do this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I ask that all of you agree with one another in what you say. I ask that you don’t take sides. I ask that you are in complete agreement in all that you think.(1 Corinthians 1:10)

Fellow believers . . .CHRISTians . . . everyone who calls on the name of the Lord  and claims Him to be God and Savior and knows His Word to be true . . . Let's be one! Listen to some of Jesus' last words as He spoke with His Father before going to the cross . . . .

“I do not pray only for them. I pray also for everyone who will believe in me because of their message.
Father, I pray they will be one, just as you are in me and I am in you. I want them also to be in us. Then the world will believe that you have sent me.  I have given them the glory you gave me. I did this so they would be one, just as we are one I will be in them, just as you are in me. This is so that they may be brought together perfectly as one. Then the world will know that you sent me. It will also show the world that you have loved those you gave me, just as you have loved me.(John 17:20-23)

Oneness shows unity. Discord and division reflects chaos and confusion. Who wants to be a part of chaos? How can we win folks for Christ when many do not know what they believe one day to the next?  Christ came and sacrificed so we may be one Body, not numerous denominations and religions.

Before our families, communities, churches or nation can be one, we as individuals must be one with Christ. . .one faith, one baptism, one Lord, one Father of us all!

Where you you stand today? Let's be ONE!

Jesus grew in wisdom!

Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends.  When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.”  “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” But they did not understand what he was saying to them. Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart.  And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. (Luke 2:44-52)

How could Jesus grow in wisdom? Was He not God? Well, yes. However, He laid aside His glory to become man. (kenosis) Jesus went through the process of growing up! He no doubt learned in school and from His family. It wasn't until He was thirty years old that God had Him prepared. (Matthew 3:13-17) So we read that Jesus grew in wisdom and stayed . . . with God and man.

As a believer, we never stop learning. We seek wisdom of God and ways to properly impact others for Christ. The Word remains the same, yet how we articulate it to others of varying cultures and age groups may differ. This why a biblical education is so very important! Our young people ( and we not so young) need a solid biblical world view or we could be duped into believing one lie after another!

Study and show oneself approved, Paul would instruct Timothy (2 Timothy 2:15). Test all spirits to see if are of God (1 John 4). Let God be the Truth and every man a liar.

Keep growing....never stop learning!

Are You Part of the TEAM?

God has placed each part in the body just as he wanted it to be.  If all the parts were the same, how could there be a body?  As it is, there are many parts. But there is only one body. The eye can’t say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you!”  In fact, it is just the opposite. The parts of the body that seem to be weaker are the ones we can’t do without. The parts that we think are less important we treat with special honor. The private parts aren’t shown. But they are treated with special care. The parts that can be shown don’t need special care. But God has put together all the parts of the body. And he has given more honor to the parts that didn’t have any.  In that way, the parts of the body will not take sides. All of them will take care of one another.  If one part suffers, every part suffers with it. If one part is honored, every part shares in its joy. You are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of it. (1 Corinthians 12:18-27)

Are you part of the team or on the sidelines, on injured reserve, or worse yet, the other team? A member of a team wears the team colors. It represents something . . . . unity, common goals, brotherhood, commitment, cohesiveness, family. One would not be allowed to play without a uniform. All team members look alike in how they dress. They have a game plan and are committed to it! They work in unison. They are all for one and one for all!

Paul reminds us here that we as members of Christ's Body. . . His team, are to be in uniform daily. . . suited up, ready to engage the enemy, with common goals and a game plan! God is our Coach, Jesus is our Captain and the Holy Spirit carries us on when we get tired and out of breath. Our game plan is clearly drawn up in His playbook, the Bible! We are in it to win it!

Are you ready team? It's game time!

Look UP to our Youth: A Happy Meal Story!

Every once in a while, we not-so-young need to look up to our youth! Of course we all know about young David fighting lions, bears and even a giant. We have heard of Daniel and his three young friends when taken into slavery in Babylon. We have heard a young virgin Mary and dedicated she was. Joseph too was a dedicated young follower of Jehovah God. Today I want to share about a relatively unknown kid with just a happy meal to his name....

Jesus looked up and saw a large crowd coming toward him. So he said to Philip, “Where can we buy bread for these people to eat?”  He asked this only to test Philip. He already knew what he was going to do. Philip answered him, “Suppose we were able to buy enough bread for each person to have just a bite. That would take more than half a year’s pay!” Another of his disciples spoke up. It was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He said,  “Here is a boy with five small loaves of barley bread. He also has two small fish. But how far will that go in such a large crowd?”Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place, and they sat down. About 5,000 men were there. Then Jesus took the loaves and gave thanks. He handed out the bread to those who were seated. He gave them as much as they wanted. And he did the same with the fish. When all of them had enough to eat, Jesus spoke to his disciples. “Gather the leftover pieces,” he said. “Don’t waste anything.” So they gathered what was left over from the five barley loaves. They filled 12 baskets with the pieces left by those who had eaten. (John 6:5-13)

Here was a young boy just standing around with a Jewish happy meal. . .some bread and some fish nuggets. . . no sauce!

Yet we read that he gladly shared his lunch. We read of no hesitation. I wonder what would have happened had he said, "No! This is my happy meal!" Imagine even more how pleased Jesus had to be with him! A young hero. . . respectful, obedient little boy. We can all look up to him today!

C'mon young people....make us proud. . .make Jesus proud. Can you spare a slice of that pizza, a Chipoltle meal, maybe even a few minutes to do a chore for parents without asking? It only takes a little effort. I know you will! Will Jesus write your name down today?

To work or not to work, that is the question!

For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.  For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies.  Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread. But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good. (2 Thessalonians 3:10-13)

To work or not to work . . . that is the question here. Paul make it plain. They did no room for laziness . . . . idleness . . . . busybodies in the Kingdom of God! From back in Genesis (Genesis 3:19) man was instructed to work to eat. God does not expect anyone capable of working to be lazy, unproductive, or slothful. If we are able to work, we are to work!

Yet Paul also instructs us to not only work to eat, but to work at doing good for others.  As he says, "as for you brethren", as for we who call ourselves disciples of Christ, we are to work at serving others!

We are not hear to simply to survive or better ourselves. We were created to honor God and multiply His image upon the earth. This involves work! Time is short so let's get to work . . . .

a born-again, baptized disciple of Jesus Christ

Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members?  You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.  You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.(James 4:1-4)

There's is definitely a lot battling going in today . . .among politicians, scientists, doctors and you and me. Everyone has an opinion. Everyone wants to be right. Everyone wants their agenda accomplished.

Yet there is a campaign agenda for those of us who are Kingdom citizens . . . GOD'S agenda! I heard both sides the other evening claiming to be " people of faith". So what! Faith in what? Faith in whom?

Who will step up and say I am a born-again, baptized disciple of Jesus Christ and I answer to Him alone? How many more empty promises and statements must we endure? Supporting a non-biblical world view or policy is just that . . . non-biblical! A CHRISTian must desire for His will here on earth as it is in heaven! We are KINGdom citizens, not Republican or Democrat!

Wake up people!!!!! Support the Kingdom agenda!!!

What is truth?

But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless. (Titus 3:9)

After watching another political debate, one that was a bit more civil, I am challenged by Paul's words to Titus. Many times, we are best to simply avoid the conversations. There is so much debate over truth today, but like Pilate when when He was face to face with Jesus asked, "What is truth?" (John 18:37-38)

We believers know Truth! Jesus the way, the Truth and the life. (John 14:6) Debates over right, wrong, good, bad, moral or immoral are simply answered in the Word! When we know Truth, we must stand upon it/Him! Many issues need no discussion.

What is Truth? Do you know Him?

Be submissive to one another!

Likewise, you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,  casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.(1 Peter 5:5-7)

Ok, so you thought it was only wives who had to be submissive. (Ephesians 5:22) No sir! We ALL need to humble ourselves and submit humbly to one another. Being a leader involves humility. There is always one over another in authority......ultimately God!

While it is wonderful to seek leadership positions, remain humble. Everyone cannot be in charge. Everyone is not equipped either. However, if we feel as though we know more or know better, remain humble and obedient, allowing God to work in His timing!

We all are accountable to God! He knows. He sees. He cares. Trust in Him....not man!

In control!

Always be joyful because you belong to the Lord. I will say it again. Be joyful!  Let everyone know how gentle you are. The Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything. No matter what happens, tell God about everything. Ask and pray, and give thanks to him. Then God’s peace will watch over your hearts and your minds. He will do this because you belong to Christ Jesus. God’s peace can never be completely understood.(Philippians 4:4-7)

Challenging times for sure . . .especially for our young people. I really hurt for them. They are watching a nation implode before their very eyes. We adults acting like children . . . ranting and raving, running in fear, trusting no one and anyone!

Yet God remains the same . . . in control! He really is folks. We have to lean upon Him and trust Him like never before. We will never totally understand God, but we can trust Him at His word!

So young people, talk to Him about everything and rest in knowing He loves us and will care for us, despite the world around us. And we not so young, the world, especially our youth, need to see it too. We have to show our faith in Him! We have to set the example!

Take notice!

The Lord tells the people of Judah,

“Stand where the roads cross, and look around.
Ask where the old paths are.
Ask for the good path, and walk on it.
Then your hearts will find rest in me.
But you said, ‘We won’t walk on it.’

I appointed prophets to warn you. I said,

‘Listen to the sound of the trumpets!’
But you said, ‘We won’t listen.’

So pay attention, you nations.

    You are witnesses for me.
Watch what will happen to my people.

Earth, pay attention.

I am going to bring trouble on them.
I will punish them because of the evil things they have done.
They have not listened to my words.
They have said no to my law. (Jeremiah 6:16-19)

Simple words here from the prophet Jeremiah which the Lord gave him concerning Judah. I believe we can heed to them today.

God tells Jeremiah to have the world take take notice: ignoring God will bring calamity and confusion!  Oh America. . . Oh CHRISTians in America, when will we take notice and start following God's ways rather than the acceptable norms of this society? Have our eyes been that blinded and our hearts so seared that we no longer even recognize God's voice above that of politics, Hollywood, and social media?

Will we ask of God for the good path and walk upon it or will we continue to say, "We won't listen"?

Praise God!
