Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took Him. And suddenly, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?” (Matthew 26: 50-54)
Violence will never end violence. Neither will ignoring wrongdoing. So how do we react to injustice, ignorance, and outright sin? Take a look at how Jesus reacted . . .
Doing God's will and allowing Him to have His way will always be the best solution. We have a s(k)in problem throughout the world today. not just in the U.S. Injustice, racism, inequality, call it by any name it is SIN. The root of sin is Satan. Let's deal with this issue and see the result.
What if . . . .
What if the Gospel . . . the TRUE Gospel was shared and shown throughout our churches, homes and communities? What if . . .just imagine . . . if everyone saw each other as one made in God's own image? What if . . . again just imagine . . . if we all saw each other as a sinner in need of the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ and lived out our ministry of reconciliation? What if . . .again imagine this . . .What if we all were seen as brothers and sisters in Christ and blood related? What if we dealt with our s(k)in problem the way Jesus did and stop simply reacting?
For the love of Christ urges us on, because we are convinced that one has died for all; therefore all have died. And he died for all, so that those who live might live no longer for themselves, but for him who died and was raised for them. From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once knew Christ from a human point of view, we know him no longer in that way. So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us. So we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us; we entreat you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.(2 Corinthians 5:14-20)
