LOVE sets the pace! ♡ How can we ever be one, as Jesus prayed in John 17? With so many differences of opinion and so many choices . . . within the Church . . . we need a point of reference! So much anger . . . so much mistrust . . . so much injustice . . . so much confusion . . . so little LOVE!Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. (1 John 4: 17:21)
It is the LOVE of God! God IS LOVE! (1 John 4:8) He defines LOVE. Without a relationship with God through Christ Jesus, there is no LOVE! So LOVE must be the starting point in any movement, policy, even relationship among those calling Jesus Christ their Lord.
As we LOVE, people will see Christ in us. They will feel His compassion. They will understand His grace. They will receive His mercy. They will want to know Him through us and our LOVE for them!
Please . . . family of God, disciples of Christ, Body of Christ . . . LOVE must set the pace in everything we do!
