Respect yourself at all times!

Honor where honor is due . . . respect given and/or respect earned . . . life has its challenges!

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so. (Proverbs 3:27)

There are positions in life that require respect . . . simply because of the position held; God (of course), President, government officials, pastors/elders, parents, law enforcement, judges, etc. Yet while respect is expected for those in authority, those in authority can do things to lose our respect!

No matter the circumstance, we as Christ followers must always do our best to respect those over us. After all, God has allowed them to be in those positions. However, life has its challenges. Leaders often do things to lose our respect for them. 

What do we do in these cases? We always do our best to do good . . . do the right thing. Trust God above all. We do not want to make things worse. In doing so we are honoring God and respecting ourselves! Whenever we are able, be sure to do good!
