Who has your back? You got mine?

Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy,  fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.  Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.  Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.(Philippians 2:1-4)

Who has your back? Who is looking out for you and me? It is a rough world.

CHRISTians are not looked upon favorably today. We are close-minded. We are exclusive. We are self-righteous. We are limited in our thinking. We are not open to new ways of thinking. We are gay bashers and too far to the right! We just do not get it! Have I left anything out?

So don't you think we should be looking out for one another . . . encouraging one another . . . defending one another? After all, there is a terrorist looking to destroy each of us (Satan)!
The thief (in my translation TERRORIST) does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)
It takes a village to raise a child but an army to protect the children of God. We have the Lord of the Armies at our side, yes. However, we also have an army of believers if we would only get to know our fellow soldiers and seek their friendship over that of the world. This is my biggest challenge as well. I tend to keep to myself and handle my own battles. It is hard to share once one has been burned several times. Yet that is Satan's way: he wants us isolated! Fight it!

Get to church! Email one another. Text now and then. "Talk" on social media as Christ-followers so others can see! Engage in real conversations with fellow believers. Talk about the culture. Discuss social issues. Compare family struggles. Look at Scripture. Pray for one another and with one another. Encourage . . . Disciple . . . Strengthen . . . Assist . . . Correct . . . Protect!

Hey . . . I got your back . . . You got mine?

Let's face it, God wants us to be one . Jesus was clear in His High-Priest prayer before going to His death:  “I do not pray for these ...
