Yet we have all we need in Christ

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.(Colossians 2:6-10)
The CHRISTian life is not simply something we do once or twice a week. It is not a stroll a SONday morning or a few minutes a day in a nice peaceful surrounding with a Good Book. It is not even a sweet and relaxing break from the doldrums of work or school.

No . . . . the true CHRISTian life is a life-long journey which begins and continues an eternal relationship with the Creator, Lord and Savior all mankind! This journey involves much in the way of failure, success, wrong turns, rejections, embarassment, joy, pain, promotion and ridicule. Yet we have all we need in Christ, because He is everything this world cannot offer . . . eternal joy and salvation!

The minute we stop allowing the world and all its philosophical, social and political jargon to influence us, we begin to realize that all Christ offers is all we need! Yes, it is a long journey full of ups and downs, but what does the alternative offer? No matter who we follow, there will be joy and pain in this life.

I choose Christ! (Joshua 24:15)
