Finish well.....

A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. (Matthew 7:18-21)

Finish well.....We have all heard this. It is not how you begin, but how you finish. Many have started out as failures. . . .  cut from a high school team yet perseveres to become a pro all star . . . . lost elections only to win the presidency . . . . failed businesses but now a millionaire! The stories are endless. Even One who was left for dead in a some tomb only to rise from that tomb and conquer death for all who choose to believe and live (John 11:25-26).

There MUST be evidence of a life worth the effort . . . the dedication . . . the sacrifice! 

You see, whether one is going to be a super athlete like Michael Jordan, a successful politician like Abraham Lincoln, or multi millionaire businessman/woman, one must have evidence of a body of work! Even as a disciple of Christ, though Jesus did all the work for our salvation, we must be dedicated to His ways, put in the effort to obey His commands, and make the necessary sacrifices to follow Him and not this world.

Our focus must be on the finish line . . . on eternal things . . . not things of this world. Let's put our hands to the plow and not look back . . . Finish well!
