eternal freedom

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.
(Romans 8:1-2) Free forever . . . no more guilt, no more shame . . . no more accusations, no more suffering. What a feeling . . . what a reality for those who know Christ! Those who have accepted the sacrifice of Christ's blood and recognize Him as King of kings and Lord of lords are free from the penalty of sin . . . eternal damnation and separation from God. This however, is an eternal freedom. One must still suffer the consequences of sin here on earth. We must still endure the ridicule of those in this world. The believer will still face accusations, lies, and mistreatment from others. In fact, since jesus suffered, why not us? (1 Peter 4:12-16) The things we suffer through as a result of our sin is for our correction. It is of our own doing. We choose to sin, we should expect correction! The things we suffer through as a result of trust and belief in Christ should also be expected! As Christ suffered, we too will suffer. After all, we are His children. As we take a stand against the grain of this world, even within our circle of believers, we will face ridicule, backbiting, and lies. However, when we suffer for His sake, we gain riches in glory! Remain dedicated to the Lord and His statutes. He is soon to come and seeking those who will stand for Him. The tougher it gets, the more we have to stand! Eternal freedom awaits those who endure . . .
