In His Hands

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.blockquote> (1 Peter 5:6-7) What a place to be . . . in God's will! It does not mean everything is going well, or according to my plans either! It could very well mean that we are experiencing some pruning! Perhaps we are experiencing some correction. Whatever state we are in, receiving rewards or receiving discipline, knowing that our Father has us in His hands is always better than the other alternative . . . not being His child!

...because the Lord disciplines the one he loves,and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.b>

(Hebrews 12:6) God cares and He wants to share in every aspect of our lives. He desires for us to share our needs and concerns with Him. There is no need to keep everything inside. He also sets us in a caring Body to also have support. In pain and sickness, we all turn to the medical field for advice. When emotionally troubled, we seek advice from friends, counselors, and ministers. When we screw up, we seek forgiveness from our peers. But why do we always seem to go to God as a secondary source of help? God wants to hear about all of our life! Good times, bad times, challenging times, stressful times, relaxing times . . .Even in our sins, God wants us to come to Him and receive His grace and mercy . . . but we have to come to Him! Peter writes to us to share our burdens with God because he cares! Try God . . . it's true . . . He really does care and will hold each of us in His hand . . . if we choose to stay there!
