Out of my control . . .

How can we deal with things that are out of our control?

Many times things happen in this world that are simply out of our control. Let's face it, it is a strange world these days! Politics . . . Covid . . . stock markets . . . terror attacks . . . natural disasters . . . anything else?

However, we can take solace in the words below from the prophet Jeremiah:

"The man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence indeed is the Lord, is blessed. He will be like a tree planted by water; it sends its roots out toward a stream, it doesn't fear when heat comes and its foliage remains green. It will not worry in a year of drought or cease producing fruit." (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

The one who totally trusts in God and His plans is stable, even in an unstable world. He does not fear tomorrow. He is not worried about today. He will stay focused upon God and doing His will rather than worrying about the current circumstances surrounding him. When the world is out of control, the one who places his faith in Christ will be in control . . . the Holy Spirit's control that is!

Where is your faith and trust today?

We all are held accountable for all we do . . .

Even a child is known by his deeds, whether what he does is pure and right. The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the Lord has made them both....
