Who is my neighbor?

Many of you know we have partnered with churches in Puerto Rico to assist in rebuilding from several disasters since 2018; hurricanes, earthquakes and Covid-19. Well, they have been hit again!

Homes are flooded on Salinas Beach after the passing of Hurricane Fiona in Salinas, Puerto Rico on Monday.

Do we really care? We are so caught up in world news and the glamour of it all that we forget our own. We have family hurting, friends in need, even neighbors right in our own backyards, yet we are so concerned for things like the Queen of England's funeral!

One of my students asked me the age old question the other day: "Who is my neighbor? "

On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

“What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.” But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” (Luke 10: 25-29)

Please pray and consider supporting our efforts to help our Puerto Rico neighbors and fellow Americans! As you pray, please commit to helping our team of teens to serve: https://gofund.me/72033ec1
