In His image

What have you done right lately? That's right, forget about short comings, failures and the almosts. Let's focus upon the good we have done for a minute! Let's face it, the world is full of negativity and failings. As we stay focused upon that, we begin to see ourselves as failures as well!

Yet, as God's children, we are called to represent Him. We are made in His image, not the image of the world. Let's focus upon that for a while! God is kind, caring, merciful, sacrificial, gracious, uplifting, and the like. Quite opposite of a backbiting, selfish, cruel, and degrading world. So let's not think this way!

Gd tells us to be renewed within our own minds. It begins with how we think! We think . . . we plan . . . we do. It is simple. So today, let's begin with what we think about ourselves . . . the way God sees us . . . in His image. Let's focus upon the good we have done and can do today. Let's be light and salt to a dark and tasteless world. Let's think about How God has made us, plan to act in that way, and then do it . . . today!

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. (Romans 12:2-8)

We all are held accountable for all we do . . .

Even a child is known by his deeds, whether what he does is pure and right. The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the Lord has made them both....
