what we do with failure

. . .knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.  For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him. . . (Romans 6:6-8)
All the G.O.A.T.s fail at times! Everyone does. The difference is what we do with failure. Many quit right there. The great ones dust themselves off and get back on the horse . . . back up to the plate . . . they want the ball again . . . they try the recipe again!

Great quarterbacks miss thirty percent of their passes. The best shooters in basketball make only half of their shots. The best hitters in the baseball Hall of Fame are failures nearly seventy percent of the time! Even some of the best chefs' meals come after mistakes and burned dishes.

So what about you and me? Why are we so hard on ourselves? Do we not trust God and His work in us? We are forgiven! (1 John 1:9) We are renewed! (2 Corinthians 5:17) We are His! (Ephesians 2:13) His mercy is NEW every morning!(Lamentations 3:22-23)

Get up and get going!
