Old Vines

The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing  To declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.(Psalm 92:12-15)
Seeds we sow and souls we nourish in our younger years will continue to produce fruit years after we grow old, weary, and weak. Though our energy may decrease, the work of the Holy Spirit remains strong and effective. Much like the old vines of vineyards hundreds of years old,  the richest grapes are yet to be produced! Only what we do for Christ will last!

Lord, let it be said of me as it was of those in Philippi in Paul's day: . . "He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.".
