God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. (Galatians 4:4-7)
An adopted child has all the benefits of a legally born biological child. Of course, in our world this means insurance benefits, financial benefits, and the like. But with God, being sdopted into His family means so much more! We become an
heir to the Kingdom . . . a
child of the Heavenly Father . . . a
prince to the
King of kings!
Once God has welcomed us into the family, we immediately become
son or
daughter, not the
outsider. From slavery to freedom . . . from unwanted to part of royalty . . .from orphan a part of God's heavenly family.
What can we do with this new-found status as Daddy's Child but share with others the same opportunity?
