Can we pray for revival?

For the LORD your God moves about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, so that he will not see among you anything indecent and turn away from you. (Deuteronomy 23:14) Certain things are required by God . . . holiness is one of those things. I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing. (1 Timothy 2:8) . . .for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy." (1 Peter 1:16) We are to be a peculiar people . . . set apart to be God's light in a dark world. Yet we try so much to fit in! It's ok to identify with today's culture and to understand the issues, but we are not to be the issue! God cannot and will not bless a mess. Our churches need revivalmore than we need another Sunday school program, another VBS, or another outreach! All these things are fine, but our hearts need to be right! Just as the Lord spoke to the churches in Revelation (Revelation 2,3)I am sure He has issues with us today. Yes we have faith and are doing good things, but are we being led by the Spirit or the world? Are we the head or the tail? Is the tail wagging the dog? Can we pray for revival, beginning within our own hearts? (Isaiah 63:15-64:12) Something has to change, why not you and me?
