A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.(Psalm 34:19) In this world we will have troubles (John 16:33). . . yep, all of us. Whether saved or unsaved, Christian or Muslim, good person or bad, we ALL will experience hard times now and then. Do not believe the lie that the Chrisyian life is a life of candies and nuts and sunshine. It is indeed difficult! It is not that the Christian life brings trouble, the world brings troubles simly because of the nature of man. Contrary to some beliefs, we are still born sinners and therefore we sin! The human heart is sinful . . . just observe a two year old for a few minutes! No child has to be taught to lie, be selfish, or greedy! The difference between a believer and a non-believer is that we understand the troubles better. We have confort in knowing God has it all worked out. The Holy Spirit within every believer offers a peace beyond human understanding. Our hope is not in this world, but in a Risen Savior and His promise of eternal peace with Him . . . one day! It is why we live and breathe and how we live and breathe! We are not of this world . . . just passin' through! Enjoy the ride!
"In the Beginning", the daily REMINDER from The Carroll Outreach Mission (formerly The Sparrows' Nest or TSN), is intended to jump start your day with the Lord. The Bible opens up with , "In the beginning, God..." It is our prayer that you will use this tool to begin or "restart" your day with the Lord! Only what we do for Him will last in the end!
