God is listening!

To the contrary of many, prayer is not hard.  It does not have to be taught, memorized or tested. There is no special formula or procedure to pray. It is simply a conversation with our Creator . . . sharing our hearts. The cool thing is that God is listening!

While we have a model prayer in scripture (Matthew 6:5-15), that is simply a guide, not a script to follow. In fact, Jesus was clear, do not pray repetitiously as some do. God wants to hear from us, individually: He is listening to our hearts as well as our words!

If we are unsure what to pray, we can let Him know. If we are angry, or upset, even at God, we can let Him know that. Even if we don't even feel like praying, God wants to hear that! Prayer is not a duty, but a privilege! The most challenging part of prayer is to decide to pray . . . now!

So just begin . . . God is listening!

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? (Matthew 7:7-9)
