He gave the right to become children of God . . . CHRISTian privilege!

He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:10-13)

Today, many are crying out for their rights. "I have a right to do ( . . . this or that) and you cannot stop me. It's a free country!"

Well, to an extent that is true. We can do a lot of things in this world today and be perfectly free to do them. Many of the the things we would never have thought would be allowed years ago.

As believers, how do we handle this?

While we must respect a person's right to choose, we must also realize we have rights and privileges too! We have the CHRISTian privilege of sharing Christ with anyone and everyone! Why do we even bother? Because God's Word says that He has given people the right to become a child of God if He has so chosen them and they choose to accept! We have been commissioned to share this as well.


So let's exercise our rights as believers to share the Good News of Christ in this free society. Do not allow the enemy to shut us down! Somebody needs to know today!
