Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward. Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. (2 John 1: 8-11)
Beware of the fancy words, the slick talkers, and the one with the charisma and charm. There are many who sound great and speak with flair and romanticize the Gospel. They smile, encourage, and even comfort many of us with their words and presentation. BEWARE! There are still wolves in sheep's clothing! (Matthew 7:15)
We still must try every spirit, especially in these challenging days. Many come promising cures, emotional relief, financial prosperity and more. When in doubt, we must always compare what we are reading and hearing with the doctrine of Christ . . .the teachings of Christ and His disciples. If there are inconsistencies, then flee!
Jesus gave too much for our souls. We also have sacrificed along the way in our walk with Christ. Do not give it up for nonsense! Do not be fooled!!!
