heal the hearts

....they departed after Paul had said one word: “The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers, saying,
‘Go to this people and say:
“Hearing you will hear, and shall not understand;
And seeing you will see, and not perceive;

For the hearts of this people have grown dull.

Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should heal them.” ’
 “Therefore let it be known to you that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it!” And when he had said these words, the Jews departed and had a great dispute among themselves.(Acts 28:25-29)
Here Paul has reached Rome is addressing the Jews there.  They have no evil intent as the Jews from other areas. They listened....that is until they heard Paul quote from Isaiah (Isaiah 6:9-10).

They became irritated, perhaps convicted and left. What about us today? Here we are bitter, anxious, frustrated and we are questioning God. However, we cannot close our ears to the Truth or close our eyes to what is happening beyond the pandemic.

God promises to heal the hearts of those who trust in Him (Acts 28:27). It's not about a virus, a pandemic, an economy, or an open or closed region. It is about the hearts of man!

Is your heart open to the Lord today? If today You hear His voice, harden not your hearts! Invite Him in....
