Blessed is the manWhile the world may consider blessed to mean lucky, fortunate, or well-to-do, the bible translates blessed to mean happy! Blessed can also mean consecrated or holy, as in our Blessed Savior.
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.(Psalm 1:1-3)
That being said, the verses above from the psalmist, give us some plain advice on being blessed, happy and thus HOLY!
- Listen to Godly advice
- Don't make it a habit to hang out with the wrong crowd (sinners)
- Take time in God's Word
- Focus upon it daily
- Be satisfied and content with what God provides.
In a day and age when everyone is looking for the perfect plan for success . . . for the believer, here it is! Here's to a blessed, happy, and HOLY life!
