And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them. (Deuteronomy 28:13-14)These are some very simple instructions for the Jewish people then, but also for us today...put God first! Leaders do not have to be rich. Those without money are not poor!
There is a very wise saying that goes something like this: There is no higher place to be than at the feet of Jesus.
If we honor God, love Him and His ways, and love people, than we will be a leader. We will be rich. We will be respected. We will not put God to shame nor will we be ashamed.
Can this be our prayer today: I choose to serve You Lord and not this world....Lead me!
