Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch. Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, “How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me. But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.”(John 10:22-30)There is a reason we do not hear from God. It is not His fault. It lies with you and me. We don't seek Him. We do not recognize Him. We cannot sit still long enough to hear Him. There is too much noise around . . . too many voices to Hear from Him and Him alone. Or do we not even know His voice or even know Him at all? What is my reason to not hear from God today? What is your reason?
"In the Beginning", the daily REMINDER from The Carroll Outreach Mission (formerly The Sparrows' Nest or TSN), is intended to jump start your day with the Lord. The Bible opens up with , "In the beginning, God..." It is our prayer that you will use this tool to begin or "restart" your day with the Lord! Only what we do for Him will last in the end!

In the Old Testament, folks "heard" from God. It was a still, small voice, a thunderous voice, even an inviting voice. Prophets spoke forth His words. Even a donkey was caused to speak! However, today many say we cannot hear from God anymore . . . Why?
