Refocused Vision . . .

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. See with what large letters I have written to you with my own hand! As many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh, these would compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. For not even those who are circumcised keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh. But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God. From now on let no one trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. (Galatians 6:7-17)
We hear, read, and see a lot of "talk" today concerning the Bible, the Church, CHRISTians, and the what is going on in the world. Recently, I read a post on social media about a lot of "biblical" talk going on! My reply was that the Word of God is not simply talk or a topic of conversation to debate, but it is THE TRUTH! It is not to be mocked as if it was stated on a talk show or needed to be proved right or wrong. With all that is going on wrong in our world, even in our personal lives, we cannot as CHRIST-followers allow ourselves to be caught up in the world and the solutions it offers. We must continue to stand against evil, lies, injustice, and other "ridiculousness" with educated, organized, respectful, and TRUTHful responses (1 Corinthians 14:40). We simply cannot rush to a mob protest. We don't spurt out from our mouths whatever comes to our minds. We do not join in every and any conversation until we think and consider the situation (James 1:19). We are not to be of the opinion that "we" can bring forth change but that with God all things are possible!(Matthew 19:26) As Paul stated above, if we are in tune with the Spirit of God and have been through enough experiences with Him, than the things of the world, though troublesome, will not change us. Following the laws of man may be a good thing, but there is a greater and more perfect way . . . the way of the Cross. It is believed that Paul wrote in large letters (Galatians 6:7) due to his troublesome vision. He suffered greatly physically for the cause of Christ. We cannot run every time we face a challenge. After all, these battles are not ours, but the Lord's!(2 Chronicles 20:15)
