Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.(Proverbs 4:23)Our heart may well be the center of our circulatory system, from where our life's blood flows, yet it is more. Our spiritual "heart" is the place from which all of our life experiences flow and from which our actions are planned and formed. The heart is in constant danger of compromise and injury. The Bible tells us that the heart is the battle ground between darkness and light. We must be careful to "guard" our hearts . . . "keep" them with all didligence and care. Our hearts need God's attention throughout the day. The things we observe and see practiced in today's society are more often than not, not for us! We need daily and frequent visits with God to be sure we are putting the proper things into our "heart". The "real" man and woman of God will observe the false attitudes and goals of this world and decide that with God's help, we can truly discover our "heart for God" and stop living for this world! I'll pray for you as you pray for me as we examine our hearts!
