When God Calls Us to "Stay"

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.(Ephesians 3:14-21)

We all know about the call from God to "Go!". Go and tell . . .Go and make disciples . . . God told Abraham to "go" and He told Moses to "go". Day after day we hear from God to "go" and do one thing or another. For me, those challenges are not quite as hard as the challenges to "stay"! Many times in our CHRISTian journey we are called to do just that . . ."STAY!" Some are called to stay in a difficult marriage. Some are called to stay at a job that is challenging, even to our faith. Others are called to stay in a home or a school that is not the best of circumstances. These are the times when we must embrace the grace He gives to "stay". . . . to remain . . . knowing He will be faithful and provide all we need to accomplish His will. God will be faithful in any circumstance, going or staying, to all who trust and obey! His love, His grace, His ways pass all of our understanding. One day we will understand more fully!
