Unified in Prayer

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our welfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. (2 Corinthians 10: 4-6)
The truths of the Gospel can do much better battle against spiritual matters than our physical weapons. Ignorance, prejudices, carnal reasonings, pride . . . all weapons of Satan, are useless against the Power of God's Word. Studying His Word, believing in it, living by it, and encouraging others of like mind to stay together in the battle are vital ingredients to a more effective life in Christ. In prayer, alone and with others, we share our burdens and personal needs. We share successes and shortcomings. We weep and we laugh. We come away from prayer being lifted up and ready to do battle as a unit, equipped and confident to go to war! Many battles are not even seen, but ever-present,all-knowing, and all-powerful God stands before us!
