Embracing the Cross

Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, STAND FIRM. Let NOTHING move you. Always give yourselves FULLY to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is NOT in vain. (1 Corinthians 15: 54-58)

Death is not an easy thing to face for anyone, but it is a reality for us all. But through Christ's death on the cross, believers gain strength and perseverance for life! Yet we tend to shy away from the cross. Especially as we approach the Easter season, lets cherish the cross and even pain and torture Christ endured for each of us, so that we may not simply LIVE, but live ABUNDANTLY! (John 10:10) 

Live each day to the fullest as unto the Lord. Battle the struggles! War with the setbacks! Defeat the desire to give up! 

We have the victory, so let's live it up! It is worth the effort for Christ . . . .
