The Battles Within

And Moses built and altar and called its name, The Lord is my banner (Yahweh-Nissi), for he said, "Because the Lord has sworn: the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation. (Exodus 17:15-16)

As Moses hands remained lifted, the Israel forces were successful. As he remained focused and looking "up" he and all of Irael were favored by God. It is no different today. While the Amalekites cannot be identified specifically today as a nation, we can identify the enemies within us as individuals. 

We must face the cynics and critics of our beliefs with love, kindness, forgiveness, and generous its. We cannot allow false accusations to tarnish our character and integrity. Sarcastic taunts and illogical responses do not respond to reason. 

And never forget to keep focus on Jehovah-Nissi, the One who fights for us and with us!
