Fan the Flames!

See that no one pays back evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all. Always rejoice, constantly pray, in everything give thanks. For this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not extinguish the Spirit. (1 Thessalonians5:15-19) 

Yes, these are challenging, even evil times for sure. However, there were evil days when Christ and Paul walked the earth as well. So evil in fact, that they killed Jesus, Paul, and many others who were not politically correct and chose God's ways over the ways of the popular culture. As challenged as they were, they lived the guidelines of the Savior and despite the backlash, led many to believe in Him . . . Even you and me! 

Are we hiding from today's culture? Are we giving in? Are we conforming to its ways? Are we living one way in society and another way in church? As hard as it becomes, we must still be kind, still be helpful, still be thankful, and still be Christ-like. 

Keep the fire burning! God is still at work and others need to see Him in us!
