Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 4:8-11)
Every believer,
each one of us has
something to give. God the Holy Spirit has equipped each of us with at least one spiritual gift with which to serve. It's up to us to
use it!
CHRISTmas is a wonderful time to serve others. It's a time to show appreciation for all others have done for us throughout the year. But we of the Body of Christ have the mandate to serve and to give year 'round!
The best way to honor our Lord and Savior is to use the gifts He has given to us.
What is yours? Is it hospitality, teaching, empathy, administration, shepherding?????
If we do nothing else this
CHRISTmas we can share the gift of Jesus. Be sure to drop His name whenever we can. Sing of the
baby born and the
Savior to come. Share
JOY with the world because the Lord has indeed come! Tell of the
Silent Night, the
Holy Night, but also the
Day of the Lord that's on the way!
