Some trust in chariots. Some trust in horses. But we trust in the Lord our God. (Psalm 20:7)
In what or whom do we really trust? The psalmist writes that some trust in chariots or horses . . . or armies for protection. Large armies were a sign of strength. In today's world, small groups of terrorists can bring down a nation and even cause a world to shudder. People whom we once trusted may turn their backs on us at any time.
So whom do we trust?
Whom do we trust to for comfort, support, strength, and guidance? What gives us peace in a dangerous world? How do we cope?
My answer is the exact same Lord . . . MY GOD . . . that the psalmist wrote about in Psalm 20! As for me and my house, we will trust and serve Almighty God!
