A poor but wise young man is better off than an old but foolish king. That king doesn’t pay attention to a warning anymore. The young man might have come from prison to become king. Or he might have been born poor within the kingdom but still became king. I saw that everyone was following the young man who had become the new king. At first, all of the people served him when he became king. But those who came later weren’t pleased with the way he was ruling. That doesn’t have any meaning either. It’s like chasing the wind. (Ecclesiastes 4:13-16)

Just being old does not mean we are wise. Holding down a prestigious position in society does not always equal out to wisdom either. Wisdom comes from God and by following His Word over the years, but it does not always equate to age. Many young people today have been through a lot and many are trusting God with their lives . . . at least they are making the efforts.Let us not be like the old foolish king and continue to learn from our youth even as we teach them!

We all can learn from one another as we learn to respect one another and listen to one another! Otherwise we are just spinning our wheels, or "chasing the wind" as Solomon wrote above.
