Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.(1 Peter 5:8-9)
Have you seen the commercial where the animals have
night vision goggles which allows them to see the prowlng lion awaiting their prey? They even go so far as to tease the lion to
go vegan!
Well as Peter writes, this is how confident we can be when we go out into the world if we allow the Holy Spirit to be in control of our lives. We all are subjected to the taunts and snares of Satan, yet Jesus promises to protect all His sheep. The Good Shepherd is on watch for us. We simply have to trust Him!
We not only have night vision, but spiritual vision in the battle over sin.
