YOU make me smile today!

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.(2 Corinthians 8:9)

What an awesome serse for us today. Paul is encouraging others to be like our savior . . . sacrificial givers! I thank God for so many of you who give so others may have the necessities of life. I especially thank the Lord for the few who give to The Sparrows' Nest Ministries so my wife and I can meet the needs of the teens and families we serve weekly. It is in doing this that we exemplify the love of Christ for the entire world to see! No matter how little we have in our lives, there are always some others who need the things we take for granted! Perhaps it is an after-school snack, a cool drink, a hair style for an upcoming school function, maybe just a few encouraging words from an adult who cares . . . even an innocent hug that says "You matter to me!" Well, these are the things the youth we work with need anyway! We all love to share with others. We all love to see the smile upon the faces of thosew we can assist in some way.
