Someone's knockin' at the door . . . somebody's ringin' the bell . . . . an old Beatles' song or a real life scenario? Do we run upstairs and make believe we are not home of gladly run to the door and open it, expecting the visitor?
Jesus is calling out to all who will accept His invitation. Not everyone can just show up however. It comes with restrictions and it has a dress code. One must attend by escort . . . (John 14:6). Jesus brings the guest to the reception. One must be dressed properly, clothed in humility and grace.(1 Peter 5:5)
Ths is not a party for just anybody. Only those who abide by the guidelines are allowed. It is an exclusive club! Jesus holds the invitation list. Is your name written upon it? (Revelation 20:15)
