We need more!

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)

I know it sounds so very basic, but we really need to grasp this today: there needs to be more fear of God today and more seeking of His knowledge! While many claim to know God and say they are saved, few actually fear God. Oh, we respect Him. We love Him. We even honor Him. However, do we fear the Creator of this vast universe and do we fear the fact that we sin against Him daily?

I believe we need to read more of the Old Testament to understand what real fear of the Lord is. Grace many times removes that fear! We can have enough knowledge about our God. Perhaps Paul's words below might challenge us:

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? (Romans 6:1-2)

We need more fear and knowledge of the Lord!
