So, my question today is "Why?

Paul starts out this way in Romans 6. . .

Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! (Romans 6:1-2)

Then, logically he writes . . .

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. (Romans 6:12-14)

So, my question today is "Why?" Why do we just keep sinning and justify it? Looking at it as Paul dies here, it is just plain dumb! Paul is adamant when he says, "Certainly not!"

We are freed from the curse of sin and the punishment of sin, yet we keep running back to it. It really is quite stupid. We are freed from the chains, yet we keep locking ourselves back up in guilt and shame!

Let's pray for one another that we really do our best to present our bodies unto God today and not to sin! Maybe if we take it one day at a time, we can make some progress!
