For He established a testimony in Jacob,We like to think that we are much wiser than the Nation of Israel. We know Jesus after all! He is our Lord and Savior! We would never reject Him. Yet don't we?
And appointed a law in Israel,
Which He commanded our fathers,
That they should make them known to their children;
That the generation to come might know them,
The children who would be born,
That they may arise and declare them to their children,
That they may set their hope in God,
And not forget the works of God....(Psalm 78:5-7)
Oh, we may not scream, "Crucify Him". We may not openly deny Him as Peter once did. We may not sell Him out for a mere hundred dollars or so . . . . or would we?
“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. (Deuteronomy 6:6-9)
Teaching bible at a CHRISTian school and leading a youth ministry group can be scary!. I see and hear way to much of what happens within the home. We neglect God almost daily. We place jobs over family. We allow the Church or school to educate biblically. We do not have family prayer or bible study. We would rather go to church on-line rather than in person! Tithing? Huh???
CHRISTmas, the celebration of Christ, is not just for December. It is a daily Season! He is our only Reason! God is yet merciful. There is still time to regroup and have a do-over. Let's rededicate back to our Lord and Savior this CHRISTmas! It's that time!
