But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.(1 Corinthians 12:20-26)
"In the Beginning", the daily REMINDER from The Carroll Outreach Mission (formerly The Sparrows' Nest or TSN), is intended to jump start your day with the Lord. The Bible opens up with , "In the beginning, God..." It is our prayer that you will use this tool to begin or "restart" your day with the Lord! Only what we do for Him will last in the end!

Mis-Matched . . . . Like Hand-in-Glove
Wearing two mis-matched gloves on a cold winter day will still keep the hands warm. A pair of non-matching socks will still serve to keep the feet covered and comfortable. A pair of shoes, though different in color, will still serve the feet well! I know the females will disagree, but the shoes don't even have to match the jacket or hat!👠👒👢🎩👡🎓👞👑👟⛑
As members of the Body of Jesus Christ, we all are mis-matched! No two of us are exactly alike, even twins have unlike DNA. However, as unlike as we all are, we can all serve our purpose by following the lead of the Holy Spirit. Older, younger, taller, different cultures, different talents, yet all "fitting" and functioning properly to serve God's purposes.
Though we all may not "match" we can still fit like hand-in-glove!
