Preparing to GO . .

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliest of mind, let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. (Philippians 2:3-4)
Preparing for a mission trip, whether for a week, a month, or even longer, is never easy and never the same. For one, we are different each time! As we grow and mature in our faith, God begins to mold us and shape us more into the person He desires. As we give ourselves over to His will, our will is lessened and many times forgotten! As my bride and I prepare this final week to take a group of teenagers to serve in New Orleans, please pray along with us that we have a mind and heart on Christ first and then on the needs of the people we go to serve. Even more so, as we return, I pray we all have been tranformed to serve in a greater capacity here at home!
