For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.(Ephesians 3:14-21)
We
need to set goals because they are
statements of faith. However, if we as believers in Jesus Christ set goals based upon
His Word and
His will, we’re saying, that we believe that
God wants us to do this or that and we are seeking to please
Him by accomplishing the task. These kinds of goals or resolutions are not simply
statements of faith, but they
stretch our faith! The bigger our goals, the more our faith will be
stretched. This pleases God! It causes others to take notice of
His work in our lives as well.
Plans fail without good advice. But they succeed when there are many advisers. (Proverbs 15:22)
Let's not be
traditional like many others and make resolutions that are forgotten by the second week of the New Year. Let's
seek God and
His Word for our lives and then allow
Him to
stretch our faith beyond our own belief in 2015! If we truly believe He has a plan for us (Jeremiah 29:11) then let's live it out boldly.
To God be the glory . . . not us!!!!
Happy 2015 . . .
Maranatha!
