This Little Light of Mine . . .

Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

(Matthew 5:16)

This little light of mine, I'm gonna' let it shine . . . It's not just a cute Sunday school or Vacation Bible School song. It is a way of life for the one who loves the Lord! What good is to call ourselves believers and followers if we blend in with everyone else? In whom is our belief? Who are we following anyway . . . the in crowd . . . the politically correct . . . newest rave?

Paul would reiterate the freedom we have in Christ to be unique for Him and Him alone. Our goal is not to please people or ourselves, but to be free to serve others and to bring glory to God.

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

(1 Corinthians 10:31)

Our life is not our own. We have been bought at a high price . . . the blood of Jesus Christ. We are now free from the constraints of this world, so let's not be held back anymore! Allow the spotlight to shine brightly upon the Savior!
