Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.(Luke 21:36)
As His followers were questioning Jesus about the end times . . .what would take place and when it would take place, Jesus left them with this advice: be ready!
It is not for us to know when the end will come (Mark 13:32). It is enough to know that Christ will come back and there will be a judgment for all to face. Everyone will stand before the judgment seat of God. (Romans 14:10-12) But are we ready?
One will be judged as one who knows the Lord or as one who does not. It is a decision that must be made while one is living. It is too late once we face Him! To be one with God, a person must be born again! (John 3:3)
So those who claim Christ as Lord and Savior must stay prayerful, be on the watch and be busy for the Lord . . . working! We must be anticipating His coming and have a desire to be doing His work and winning more for His Kingdom. Those who do not know Him . . . now is the time! It is not God's will that anyone be lost. (2 Peter 3:8-9) However, the decision is left to the individual.
Are we ready?
"In the Beginning", the daily REMINDER from The Carroll Outreach Mission (formerly The Sparrows' Nest or TSN), is intended to jump start your day with the Lord. The Bible opens up with , "In the beginning, God..." It is our prayer that you will use this tool to begin or "restart" your day with the Lord! Only what we do for Him will last in the end!
