There is Hope
We all need to know there is a future. Without it we can’t get up and go to work; We can’t raise our kids; We can’t see our marriages growing; We can’t trust a God we can’t see; We can’t really live.
The question is this…what do know about the future? Can we see past the next hour, the next day, or even years ahead? Do we look forward to tomorrow? As a Christian, do we look forward, or hope in our future with Christ? Are we so caught up in this world and what we have that we don’t really want Christ to come back just yet? What if we lose all we have today? Where is our future then?
As we have personally witnessed the loss of jobs, homes, and even entire communities due to natural disaster, we see just how temporary this world and its possessions are. What is constant is Jesus. He never changes. His promises never fade. His Kingdom will last forever and I for one can’t wait for it to come! Will it take losing it all to realize there is only one thing worth having…a personal relationship with the King of kings! In Jesus there is hope. As a former President used to say, "There is a place called hope." It’s not necessarily in Arkansas, but in a person…Jesus Christ!
"Behold, the Lord’s eye is upon those who fear Him, who wait for Him and hope in His mercy and loving-kindness, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. Our inner selves wait for the Lord; He is our Help and our Shield. For in Him does our heart rejoice, because we have trusted in His holy name." (Psalm 33:18-21)
"In the Beginning", the daily REMINDER from The Carroll Outreach Mission (formerly The Sparrows' Nest or TSN), is intended to jump start your day with the Lord. The Bible opens up with , "In the beginning, God..." It is our prayer that you will use this tool to begin or "restart" your day with the Lord! Only what we do for Him will last in the end!
