My Timeless God

. . . . and Joshua said to them: “Cross over before the ark of the Lord your God into the midst of the Jordan, and each one of you take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, that this may be a sign among you when your children ask in time to come, saying, ‘What do these stones mean to you?’ (Joshua 4:5-4)
Past.....Present....Future.... all these times tend to blend together as we live year after year and experience so much in life.  As we plan our days and future, we tend to forget both the good and bad experiences and only focus on the here and now!

Yet as we trust the Creator, Who knows no time, we might just do a bit better by remembering . . . both our failures and successes . . . and remember what God has done through it all.

Joshua called on the tribal leaders to make memorials of what God did for them as the waters blocked their way. We too would do well to memorialize all God does for us so we will not recreate past failures and learn to trust God as we face even tougher hurdles in th future. Journaling is a great way of doing just that. It enables us to record the present, look back in the past, and better plan the future!

After all....He has already been to our future and back again! Let's remeber... and trust Him!
