eternal life with with Christ

I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.(John 10:9-10)
Familiar verses for sure but let's look at it personally today. Jesus is not saying we can do anything we want or even receive all the things we want in life.

Not only are we to enter through Christ in order to be safe, we must remain in Him( John 15), looking to our Shepherd to guide us into green pastures (Psalm 23).

How often do we try to sneak away from the will of God and still believe He will bless us? He may just be allowing us to learn some hard lessons. Abundant life in this case does not always mean things we want now, but things we need for life later! After all, eternal life with with Christ is far more abundant than this life will ever be!

Take time to examine plans and desires today....are they His plans? ( Jeremiah 29:11)
