The Reality of Jesus' Love for us

Real whips . . . Real spit from another man's mouth . . . Real chains  . . . Real nails . . . A very heavy cross . . . A real struggle to simply breathe . . . . and a very real, lonely and painful death!

The reality of Jesus' love for us go beyond amazing! In fact, it was heart-breaking for Him and should be for us today. He literally died of a ripped and broken heart for us as blood and water flowed from His side! (John 19:34)

Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.

But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4-5)
