Who is my brother, my neighbor?

Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. (Philippians 2:1-4)
Christ takes very seriously how we treat one another. He stated that the way we care for one another in daily activities shows how much we care for Him ( Matthew 25:33-46). The "beatitudes" are clear what kind of character He requires of believers (Matthew 5:1-12). He was clear when He prayed to The Father concerning our oneness (John 17:20-23).

"I am third", "Me last", "Jesus/Others/You" (JOY), and WWJD are all popular sayings. Popular yes, but challenging to live out! Who is my brother, my neighbor? (Luke 10:25-37) How are we treating one another on a day to day basis?

Food for thought entering the weekend . . .
